Wahida is the owner and the inspiration behind EPY Pilates. She graduated from occupational therapy school at San Jose State University in 1988. Due to her own personal injuries Wahida found herself on a journey of health and fitness that started with yoga in 1995 that led to further training in Pilates, ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ยฎ Method exercise, the Franklin Methodยฎ, and eventually to instruct and inspire new teachers. She is a Balanced Body Master Trainer and a ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ยฎ Pre-Trainer. Wahida has mentored with Tom McCook, Nora St. John, Juliu Horwath, Debra Rose, Eric Franklin, Morten Ditmer and numerous other wonderful teachers who have inspired her along her journey. Her eclectic experience brings diversity to her teaching style while adhering to each disciplineโs principles. She is excited to share her knowledge and inspire new teachers.
As an occupational therapist and someone who craves more knowledge to improve an individuals activities of daily living and overall functioning, Wahida began to explore and learn about modalities that support healing via other routes in addition to therapeutic movement. She studied visceral manipulation with the Barral Institute, Primal Reflex Release Technique with John Iams, PT and Muscle Energy Technique with the URSA Foundation. Wahida then attended the Canadian School of Osteopathy, Manual Practice in Vancouver, Canada from 2013-2018. She completed her thesis in 2021. She uses all these modalities to support a client to return to function to enjoy life.
